About EDtalks

CORE education is a not-for-profit educational research and development organisation based in Christchurch, New Zealand. CORE researches, applies, supports, and disseminates new learning technologies.

CORE Education develops innovative, empowering, creative and effective learning environments and to push the boundaries of educational possibilities.

With this intention, EDtalks has been set up as our contribution to teacher professional learning; a freely accessible database of short video interviews with leading educators and thinkers; a steadily growing collection of videos featuring New Zealand and International educators talking about learning.

The online searchable archive includes clips covering a wide range of themes; leadership, eportfolios, inquiry, the new curriculum, managing change, web2.0, professional learning communities, ICTPD and more. The interviews include speakers from early childhood education through to tertiary, discussing strategies and innovations relevant in classroom and online environments.

Schools and individuals are free to download the video files for use in whole staff or personal professional development and professional learning.
